New real estate firm focuses on the strength of national relationships coupled with the connection of local and regional flavor.
DALLAS, Texas (September 15, 2020) – Real estate veterans Jack Breard, Jennifer Frank, Michelle Waak and David B. Shelton announce the formation of Segovia Partners, a unique real estate firm committed to leveraging its experience and market knowledge to provide counsel and strategy in a rapidly evolving industry both locally and across the country. Segovia Partners, with its branding mirroring the famous Roman Aqueducts of Segovia in Spain, offers a long span of relationships, and boasts one of the finest and best preserved reputations with a dramatic presence in the center of an industry rebuilding itself.
The former Segovia Retail Group, will be merged into the newly created Segovia Partners and the entire team: Kornel Romada, Jim Jamerson, Rose Meza and Bretley Roche, will bring to the newly formed company their combined 50 years of experience in local and regional markets. They will remain active in the representation of both landlords and tenants, land brokerage, and development consulting.

The company provides a full range of consulting and representation services to tenants and landlords. On the tenant side, Segovia Partners executes on everything from site selection to deal negotiation to strategic planning, as well as design and construction consultation. On the landlord side the team delivers a full suite of development services including market studies, entitlement consulting, merchandise planning and pro forma assistance.
Jack brings over 28 years of experience focused on high profile specialty retail, mixed use leasing and tenant representation with unique brands such as Yeti, REI, Total Wine, Bassett Furniture, The Rustic and Fox Restaurant Concepts. He was instrumental in the development and leasing efforts of projects such as Southlake Town Square, The Shops at Legacy, Clearfork and The Shops at Park Lane to name a few. Jack most recently spent 5 years as EVP at CBRE and 10 years as President of UCR Urban and Partner at UCR.
Jennifer’s 27 years of experience has led her to specialize in tenant representation throughout Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Her clients include ULTA, Skechers, Public School, Black Rifle Coffee Company and IKEA. Jennifer was responsible for IKEA’s initial debut into the DFW, Austin and San Antonio markets. She spent 17 years at Woodmont where she was Executive VP earning regional and national respect as an expert in both landlord and tenant representation. Prior to forming Segovia Retail Group in 2013, Jennifer spent 5 years with Princeton Partners. She has represented numerous credit tenants and has led the successful development and lease up of many power centers across the country.
Michelle has over 25 years of experience primarily on the Landlord side of the industry where she developed and leased many types of projects from mixed use to lifestyle centers to malls. She most recently spent 9 years at The Howard Hughes Corporation as SVP of Leasing, where she was part of the emergence and spinoff from GGP, running Midwest and East Coast leasing efforts. Michelle has also held leadership leasing positions at The Taubman Company, RED Development and Poag & McEwen.
David, active in commercial real estate for the last 20 years, is a specialist focused on the representation of tenants in all facets of their real estate needs. David’s current clients include Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta, Old Navy, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Hot Topic, Torrid, 5.11 Tactical, Planet Fitness, Boot Barn, Primrose Schools and many others. For both past and present clients, he has executed real estate consulting services in numerous states, from Texas to Kansas, and Arizona to Alabama. David spent 5 years as a First VP at CBRE and before that 10 years at UCR.
